The Cabin

The Cabin is a Finnish Log Cabin of considerable charm, set in its own 1.5 acre woodland plot. It is part of the owner's 4+ acre estate of mature woodland and wild valley well away from the owner's property and Little Barn. Reminiscent of Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House In The Big Woods, it epitomises that Back To Nature experience. Offering considerable privacy with its own entrance, high wooden gates, driveway and adjacent parking and enjoying stunning views over rolling countryside to Tregonning Hill, it is a wildlife haven. There are numerous country and coastal walks to enjoy and it is ideally placed to explore the many coves and beaches a short drive away.

Accommodation

A quality pine log cabin with outside decked area, table and chairs for alfresco meals and enjoying fabulous views over rolling countryside and from the garden, the sea.

Lounge/Kitchen/Diner

Double french doors open into a comfortable lounge/ kitchen/ diner with a lofty beamed ceiling which has a large fan plus lighting useful in hot summer months. There are natural log walls, a three seater setee and matching armchair with down filled cushions, TV/DVD player, radio/CD player, bookcase and tourist information, occasional tables, large oriental carpet, electric N/S heating and log effect fire. The modern fitted kitchen has limed oak units, a wall cupboard, an electric cooker with 2 ring hob plus larder fridge and microwave and the usual kitchen appliances. There is a birchwood dining table and seating.

Lobby/Bathroom

From the lounge, two doors open into a lobby useful for coats boots etc; and then into a good size bathroom with full size bath with shower over. There is also a toilet, washbasin, various shelving, concealed ceiling lights and a wall fan heater with a window onto shrubbery plus venetian blind.

Bedroom

Another door from the lounge opens into the double bedroom with an attractive antique repro brass bed and good quality firm mattress. It has an antique French mirrored wardrobe with large draw under, a small dressing table, an electric panel heater and a window with woodland views. There is a pull-down washing line on the outside of the cabin plus 2 sun loungers and a garden seat plus security lighting.

Shared Utility Room

A granite building adjacent to the The Little Barn offers the convenience of a Bosch washing machine, Belfast sink and w/c plus a drying area useful for wet weather gear. Guests may use a covered field shelter for bicycles, motorcycles and surf boards at their own risk. There is an abundance of wildlife which can be observed from The Cabin. The Lily Pool and BBQ area are close by.
